It’s great to meet you! I’m Carrie, MS, LPC-IT, an anxiety and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) mental health counselor.

Perhaps you’ve spent months, or years, trying to get a grip on your OCD or anxiety.

Maybe things that once worked no longer do.

Sometimes it’s worse than other times and often there is no explanation for those shitty (let’s be frank!) and terrifying sensations (shortness of breath, heart pounding), relentless distressing thoughts, or fear that you might harm someone. You’ve probably tried not to think about it, control it, and maybe even tried avoiding certain things or places. When we engage in these behaviors, we are sending a message to our brains that there is a reason to be afraid. The OCD or anxiety cycle is set in motion and with certain therapies, you can stop that cycle and live a fuller and more present life.

Anxiety comes in all shapes and sizes. Trust me, I know. Not only do I treat anxiety disorders as a therapist, but I’ve lived with a few of them myself. Along the way, I have tried various therapies and have had outstanding results, now I want to share them with you. Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and exposure and response (ritual) prevention (ERP) therapy are proven and shown to be effective in treating OCD and anxiety disorders, which is why I love working with them. Therapy is complimented with mindful self-compassion practices and by treating one disorder others naturally diminish. Showing us that these are powerful and effective treatments.

Virtual Therapy

Online, designated for individuals to meet from the comfort of their homes. Virtual sessions are HIPPA-compliant and confidential. We will work with you to develop a treatment plan that meets your personal needs and goals. Typically, meetings are weekly or can be tailored to your needs.

Initial Intake Assessment 60 mins | $185
Ongoing Sessions 50 mins | $155

In-person Therapy

In-person, in Milwaukee, therapy. Designated for individuals who wish to work on avoidance behaviors, fears, phobias, and OCD via exposure therapy with their therapist in-vivo (real settings). This option (hybrid) is combined with virtual sessions . Initial work will be done virtually and then you will meet in the community for specific exposure work, as needed. Travel to and from destination is no charge for first 5 minutes, thereafter, there is a travel fee of $14.50 for every 5 minutes.

Group Therapy

Online group therapy sessions are tailored to meet needs and achieve goals around a specific area. Group therapy offers clients an opportunity to learn and grow in a supportive, confidential, and affordable group setting.
